NVIDIA Jetson Orin Users Now Have a Ready to Use 13MP PDAF Camera Solution

For Jetson Orin™ NX, one of their latest platforms, we have developed not only hardware to connect NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX Carrier Board by Auvidea, but also software suites for Linux platform.

The THSCJ101 enables NVIDIA Jetson Orin™ NX/Nano users to quickly integrate THEIA-CAM™ into their platforms.

THEIA-CAM™ Powered by THine’s High-performance ISP

THP7312-P 16MP ISP

We used capabilities of THine’s ISP (THP7312-P) to maximize the image quality perfomance of Sony’s 13MP PDAF Sensor IMX258.

The number of resolution choices, the Image Quality under any light conditions, the Autofocus performance, and unit-to-unit performance alignment are all optimized.

Further, with THine’s ISP Firmware development kit, customers are able to further customize the solution including using a different image sensor.

Fully Compatible with NVIDIA Jetson Orin™ NX

THSCJ101 Output 22-pin Connector Pin Mapping

The THSCJ101 works with NVIDIA Jetson Orin™ NX platform.

Linux Binary, V4L2 Driver, and ISP Firmware is available upon request.

The THSCJ101 MIPI CSI-2 output connector is for a 0.5mm pitch 22pin connector with pin mapping information available in the datasheet.

2 x THSCJ101 with Auvidea’s Carrier Board

Auvidea’s carrier board has 2 camera inputs, which is also supported by the THSCJ101. You can use 2 THEIA-CAM™s with Jetson Orin!

 

High-Resolution Choices

Unlike typical SBC cameras, the THSCJ101 supports 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 output allowing to use a variety of high-resolution choices.

 

Ultra-fast Autofocus (PDAF, Phase Detection Autofocus)

Sony’s Image Sensor (IMX258) along with fine-tuned ISP Firmware provides ultra quick autofocus.

 

Best-in-Class Image Quality

Based on our years of Image Quality support for numerous customers, we developed and tuned the ISP firmware. The Image Quality perfomance exceeds iPhone 12 camera Image Quality in some of Imatest Image Quality testing criteria.

Scalable for high-volume production

The unit-to-unit image quality (Auto White Balance, Lens Shading, PDAF, etc.) is fully characterized and calibrated at Factory. Thus, the hardware architecture is scalable for any size of production without any compromise.
