OV2740 Setup for Endoscope Applications
Introduction
This Demo shows an example of using the THine CDK to customize ISP firmware for a user selected Image Sensor.
By adding an easy to develop header board with the user selected Image Sensor to the CDK, the user can develop the ISP firmware themselves to their requirements.
In this example, we introduce a special setup for Endoscope Applications using the popular OmniVision OV2740 Image Sensor.
Setup Outlook
Overview
We prepared following items.

Hardware Overview
CDK Hardware
Hardware Setup
We built a special Header Board with OV2740 sensor module and 2-pc LED sitting horizontally to other CDK Hardware boards. (The reference Header Board that comes with the rest of CDK Hardware stands up vertically so the camera faces forward.)
Setting up CDK Hardware
The Camera is looking down at the Sea Spikes Pod.
Connect the Hardware to PC
Using USB 3.0 Cable, connect the CDK Hardware to PC.
Cover the CDK Hardware with the Blackout Curtain
To shut down any light, use the Blackout Curtain covering over the CDK Hardware.
Software Setup
We built an OV2740 Sensor Driver for our ISP THP7312. Using CDK tools, we confirmed many features of the OV2740 are configurable.
Using THUWin, downloading THP7312 firmware.
Launching USBCamViewer to see Image Streaming from the OV2740
Using CDK Color Configurator
By using the Color Configurator, you can make specific color segments stand out.
